South India, told properly. From an operator based in Kochi.

Green Earth Trails is a Kochi-based inbound tour operator working across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Lakshadweep. Each region offers something distinct, and a journey designed around what you want to see is always richer than a generic itinerary.

The variety of South India. Kerala for backwaters and the Western Ghats. Tamil Nadu for thousand-year-old temples. Karnataka for Hampi, Hoysala stones and Kabini wildlife. Lakshadweep for coral atolls. We design across all of it, and across the themes that connect it: cycling, birding, trekking, food, wellness and culture.

Local knowledge that compounds. Seventeen years of driving these roads, walking these trails and eating in these kitchens. The bus route is not always the right route. The headline attraction is not always the right stop.

Drivers and vehicles we own. A driver can make or break a trip. Ours are employed by us, not contracted from aggregators, and every vehicle in our fleet is owned and maintained by us, not rented from a pool.

Storytellers, not just guides. The places that stay with you are the places where someone explained them properly. We work with a small set of guides we have known for years, people who can read a temple wall, a tea plantation, the trade history of a port town.

Kerala

Western Ghats, backwaters, coast, wildlife and cultural immersion across South India's most diverse state.

Tamil Nadu

Monolithic temples, thousand-year-old Chola architecture, Dravidian craftsmanship, the French colony of Pondicherry, Chettinad heritage and the sacred southern tip at Kanyakumari.

Karnataka

12th century Hoysala temples, the boulder-strewn ruins of Hampi by the Tungabhadra river, Coorg coffee estates, Kabini wildlife and Mysore palace heritage.

Lakshadweep

Coral atolls, turquoise lagoons and some of the most untouched island landscapes left on the planet.

Bangaram Atoll, Lakshadweep Islands

Four hundred and fifty kilometres off the Kerala coast, a string of coral atolls rises from the Arabian Sea. Lakshadweep - the name means thousands of islands - is one of India's most restricted and least visited territories. Most of it is closed to tourists. The islands that are open reveal something extraordinary: reef systems of startling clarity, lagoons the colour of shallow tropical water over white sand, and a pace of life that has no equivalent on the mainland.

Bangaram Atoll sits 45 minutes by boat from Agatti aerodrome, the only airstrip in Lakshadweep. This proximity matters - it means no long sea crossing, no navigational uncertainty, no half-day lost to logistics. Bangaram Island and its neighbour Thinnakara are the two islands in the atoll open for guest stays. They share the same reef and are ten minutes apart by boat. What makes Bangaram particular is its scale and its stillness. The island is small enough to walk in twenty minutes and remote enough that the coral reef at its edge is largely undisturbed.
